Regarding the environmental impact of either animal feed consumption or the compapny's industrial activities, the principles implemented by our company and the progress it makes every year are the very natural result of its know-how: optimising feed recipes and integrating environmental protection in its industrial policy.
Protecting natural resources
By the very nature of its business the company is strongly involved in the agricultural universe and aware of its environmental concerns. The raw materials used by the company come from agriculture and the agri-food industry, and are therefore renewable.
Moreover, water and energy consumption is low, and the copany's industrial activity generates very few waste. Evialis Shandong is a company that combines renewable raw materials: cereals, oilseeds, vegetable proteins, seedcakes, etc. The company's formulator is continually optimising the use of these products in its recipes to give livestock farmers the best possible nutritional performance while adjusting the quantity of feed consumed by animals to the strictly necessary, therefore reducing the use of raw materials.
On an industrial level, animal feed production does not present a major risk for the environment and has a low environmental impact. The production process consumes very little water and Evialis Shandong implements processes to improve the energy yield of its facilities.

In terms of risk prevention, the company's policy is notably based on the safety level of its industrial sites, optimising raw material flow, improving the energy efficiency of industrial processes, and reducing emissions and waste.
Reducing emissions and waste
The company's environmental policy hinges around two priorities: reduction and treating emissions and waste. Every industrial site performs regular checks to evaluate noise pollution, dust emission levels and water-borne effluents. In these areas, each site manages its own detailed action plan for continuous improvement.
As raw materials are mainly processed in bags, the volume of packaging waste to be managed is optimized. It is primarily made up of PVC which is recovered to a great extent in recycling processes.
Meticulous management
Action plans related to environmental protection are coordinated jointly by the Quality and the Industrial department, together with the Human Resources Department for training initiatives.
Increasing employee awareness
Evialis employees attend environmental risk awareness sessions designed to be pragmatic and to include economic and industrial realities.
